Pacific Wellness Source Launches New Website in Keeping with New Business Focus
Irvine, CA: Pacific Wellness Source (PWS) has just announced the launch of an updated website, focusing on integrative health education, and helping people get a comprehensive, holistic understating of the body and its underlying functions. PWS will combine practical, hands-on tools for enhancing daily living with the science behind this practical application.
PWS Director Jackie Ovadia will continue to teach group classes in health, wellness, exercise, nutrition, and mindfulness, though she is expanding her offerings to Functional Exercise and Wellness, Functional Nutrition and Wellness, and Integrative Health Education. Jackie’s integrated mind-body approach employs the Functional Medicine Matrix by addressing all modifiable lifestyle health and wellness factors (ie, mindfulness, physical activity, nutrition, stress reduction, sleep, and other dimensions of wellness) combined with medical antecedents, triggers, and mediators of health problems. She teaches people how to incorporate these disciplines into their daily lives.
Jackie, who holds dual master’s degrees in Exercise Science and Clinical Nutrition, has years of teaching experience in preventive health and wellness, exercise, nutrition, strength/conditioning, Pilates/core function, flexibility/ balance, nutrition education, longevity, and healthy cooking. She published her first healthy living cookbook in 2019 for a network of assisted living residential homes in Orange County.
Since 2005, she has been an Associate Faculty member with South Orange County Community College District (SOCCD), which includes Irvine Valley College and Saddleback College. Jackie was honored with Teacher of the Year in the Emeritus College for her care and commitment to students.
“I believe that knowledge is power,” says Jackie, “and my goal is to empower people with the knowledge and hands-on tool to live healthier, happier lives.” This approach compels Jackie to go deeper, uncover functional issues that underlie physical and nutritional imbalances, and find solutions that people can implement into their daily lives. Through this expanded website, she will provide ongoing content on current health issues that can enrich people’s understanding of health and wellness.
While Jackie has worked with all age groups and in both educational and medical settings, her focus has primarily been with mature audiences, for which she has a particular expertise, sensitivity, and cultural appreciation.
