Jackie Ovadia Awarded IVC Emeritus Professor of the Year

Irvine, Calif: Pacific Wellness Source Director, Jackie Ovadia, has been awarded the 2020 Irvine Valley College Emeritus Professor of the Year.

The Emeritus Teacher of the Year award reflects Jackie’s continued devotion to her students, as she never rests on her laurels. Each year, she continues to try to make her classes a learning setting where students can broaden their knowledge of health and wellness and get hands-on tools for strengthening their minds and bodies.

The Award was presented by the Board of Trustees and the Chancellor of the South Orange County Community College District in recognition of Jackie’s excellence and dedication to her students.

“Jackie takes special care to make sure new students feel welcome,” one student nominator wrote, “and with her enthusiasm and support, she creates a classroom that is both challenging and pleasant.”

Jackie’s passion is educating through integrative and preventive health, not only presenting whole body exercise regimens, but also daily health habits such as proper diet, stress management, environmental health, and the importance of sleep.
